Devi Prasad is a plastic surgeon by training and a medical educator by passion.
He is currently working as a professor in the Department of plastic surgery, JIPMER, Puducherry.
His areas of interest include Cleft lip and palate deformities, Acute and chronic burns injuries, and grafting. In medical education, he is interested in technology-oriented medical education and platforms for enabling it.
He has donned various posts including project director, JIPMER Smile Train Cleft Project, co-ordinator of the JIPMER DM/MCh orientation program, International fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, UK, and a member of various committees.
He is one of the core-group faculty of the NTTC, JIPMER, and has been actively participating in sessions related to digital teaching and education technologies in faculty development programs.
