Dinker Pai is the Professor of Surgery and Director, of the Medical Simulation Centre, MGMCRI, SBV.
He is a general surgeon by training and has been active in simulation-based healthcare education (SBHE) for the last 10 years.
He obtained the Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, USA in 2016.
He is a certified Team STEPPS master trainer for team training for Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), USA. He is also certified by NHET-SIM certification course of Monash University, Australia and has completed the Bristol Boston Masterclass for Simulation.
He is the Vice President of the Pan Asia Simulation Society in Healthcare and Founder-secretary and life member of the Singapore Society for Healthcare Simulation, a Life member of the Malaysian Society for Simulation in Healthcare and Board member for PediSTARS simulation society, India.
He is on the Editorial Board of Advances in Simulation, the official journal of SESAM (The European Society for Simulation), and a site reviewer for the Accreditation Committee of SSH.
Based on the wide national and international expertise related to simulation pedagogy and patient care safety, he has written several chapters and articles on simulation education in journals and textbooks.
