Dr. PF Kotur

Position: AVMC, Puducherry.

Kotur is an anesthetist by profession and a viable administrator.
He is currently serving as the Dean for Aarupadai Veedu Medical College and Hospital, Puducherry.
He worked as the first registrar of KLE University, Belgaum from 2006-12 and became Vice Chancellor of Sri Devaraj Urs University, Kolar. He also served as dean of Shri Sathya Sai Medical College and Research Institute before the current designation.
He was the chief editor of the prestigious, “Indian Journal of Anaesthesia” for two terms. Editor of “The SAARC Journal of Anaesthesia” and has more than 75 publications and 40 guest lectures to his credit
He was the first Anaesthesiologist of Karnataka who has been conferred the ‘Life Time Achievement Award 2014’ by the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists.
He was the first to obtain a Ph.D. in Medical Education from the state of Karnataka
He is well–versed with NAAC/NABH accreditations, UGC, MHRD reviews and MCI/DCI/PCI /CCIM inspections, statutes, regulations of UGC/MHRD/MCI/DCI/PCI /CCIM etc.
