CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

An invitation to all teachers of health professions

We, the organizers of MEDUCON2026 invite all teachers in the health professions to participate in a special occasion, marking the Golden Jubilee of the National Teachers Training Centre (NTTC) at JIPMER. The theme for 2026 “Catalyzing Change in Medical Education: Engaging with Critical Issues” has been chosen to motivate us to identify and take these issues head on, not shying away from having these vital conversations that are so important for ushering in a change for the better.

The resource faculty includes a wide array of educators, policy makers and teacher educators from across the globe, recognizing that while these issues transcend borders, the solutions must be contextualized. If medical education in India and indeed across the world must do better, we need to acknowledge that these complex problems exist and work together to understand them and find ways to resolve them. The program includes workshops, talks, plenaries and many more ways to get all of us teachers to engage with these critical issues. We believe that doing this is crucial for teachers to reclaim their rightful place as the primary custodians of medical education holding the key to providing high quality education to the next generation of healthcare professionals.
